The Spirit of Ancient Soil
A Century of History in Every DropBeneath the gravelly soils of Spain's Toro region lies a story of vitality and perseverance. In 2003, driven by a quest for the ultimate wine, Jesus Fernandez founded Bodegas Coral Duero.
More than just a winery, it is a guardian of the land's "Living Antiques"—the 130-year-old vines that define our heritage.
A Miracle of Survival
Our proudest treasures are the rare centenarian vines that survived the devastating Phylloxera outbreak of the 19th century. In harsh natural conditions, these vines bury their roots deep into the earth to draw the purest nutrients.
"Nature is the root of wine." This is our philosophy. We believe that wine from old vines is not merely alcohol; it is a gift of life, condensing time, sincerity, and emotion.
Single Vineyard Symphonies
To showcase the diverse terroir of Toro, we meticulously cultivate four distinct single vineyards, each producing a signature wine with unique character:
- Las Parvas
- Rompesedas
- Salgadero
- Los Lastros
Additionally, we present R’Sedas, crafted from younger vines to reveal the vibrant and diverse side of the region.
Internationally Acclaimed
Bodegas Coral Duero made an immediate impact on the world stage. Our inaugural vintage (harvested in 2005, released in 2008) won Gold at the IWSA and received a remarkable 93 points from legendary critic Robert Parker.
This honor affirms our unwavering commitment to creating benchmark wines of the highest quality.
